Finally, got the Rescue & Recovery program to build me a recovery startup disk! I needed to download the exe that creates the ThinkVantage Boot Manager repair utility and run the disk. I also had to uninstall the most recent version of R&R and drop back to the one that comes with the machine (4.0?). I can’t do a full backup to my IEEE 1394 WD MyBook 1TB HDD as it crashes on “br_funcs”…wonder if it will work on USB? When will IBM/Lenovo improve the Intel Q965 graphics driver for XP?
